Rangamati is the administrative headquarters of the Rangamati Hill District in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. It is also the capital city of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The city is located at 22 ° 36 'north latitude and 92 ° 12' east longitude and is 14 meters (48 ft) high. District administration is conducted under the supervision of District Rangamati. Rangamati is 6 km (48 mi) away from Chittagong. The town is located on the west bank of Kaptai Lake. Rangamati is a tourist destination because of its scenery, natural beauty, lakes, indigenous groups (Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Pankhua etc.), flora and fauna, native museums, hanging bridges etc.
